Introduce Waypoints to floor plans.
Users can now add Waypoints to their scanned floor plans. During scanning mode, you can take pictures of defects or manually add them after the scan to the 2D plan. With the integrated pen kit, images can be edited and clear captions can be added instantly.
Waypoints and pictures are dynamically mapped with captions to the floor plan at the exact location where they were taken, as well as appended sequentially in the PDF below the plan. Export your finished 2D floor plans with supporting photographs effortlessly as an appendix.
The inspection folder houses all raw imagery captured on-site, complete with matching Waypoint IDs mapped straight into the filenames for rapid identification. This marks our first evolution towards a brand new LiDAR reporting standard.

What does LiDAR stand for?
LiDAR stands for Light Detection And Ranging. The process is also known as laser scanning or 3D scanning.
How does LiDAR technology work?
LiDAR technology is used across a wide range of industries to create 3D models and maps of the physical world. It works by measuring an object or environment in detail using LiDAR sensors, a camera and other device sensors, turning the space into a digital asset.
How does LiDAR sense depth?
LiDAR calculates depth using light detection. Infrared light pulses are sent out and the sensor measures how long they take to return after hitting nearby objects. The time between the outgoing laser pulse and the reflected pulse allows the sensor to calculate distance.
Can I use the tool with any Apple product?
A LiDAR scanner is built into newer Apple Pro devices, including iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, and iPad Pro onwards. These devices can create realistic, accurate and fast 3D representations of close-range objects and environments.
